Barely three weeks ago the Android world was introduced to version 4.4 of the operating system and following in a long tradition of confectionary names bared the moniker 'KitKat'. Typically anything but a Nexus device would have to wait 2, 4 or even as long as 9 months before the latest version of Android's OS is able to be skinned and tweaked by individual carriers before it pushes out to your handset but in keeping with a promise that Dennis Woodside made last year when speaking of future Motorola devices we're happy to see that Android 4.4 KitKat is rolling out in record time and in fact if you're a Verizon customer you very well might have already received the update today.
Now we don't have confirmed dates for other carriers but as Verizon is usually one of the more difficult carriers to get timely updates from this bodes well that Spring, TMobile, AT&T and US Cellular will follow sooner than later. So who here on the forum has a Verizon Moto X and received the update today? We've inserted a short video below from Droid-Life.com that shows a little of KitKat on a VZW Moto X updated today.
