The Verizon Moto X Site went live today so all you big red lovers can now get either a woven black or woven white Moto X by either going to their website or stopping in stores.  As excpected the 16GB model will run you $199 and the 32GB model will set you back $249...both with a two year contract.   Surprisingly, we've actually got word of two coupon codes that let you get $60 off so that brings the effective price down to $139/16GB and$189/32GB(32gb not available yet).  Use Verizon coupon codes FIFTYRMN and VERIZON30 to get your discount on checkout.  Pretty sweet to offer a nice discount on launch day!

Now the retail Verizon stores don't actually have Moto Xs in stock yet so you'll want to head on over to an AT&T store to check one out in person before you buy it online from Verizon and it'll shipped to you.  Now if you want to buy the Moto X outright and get month to month service, Verizon will sell you one for $599.99.   Unfortunately those wanting a customized Moto X on Verizon will have to wait a few months.  Previous rumors and comments from Verizon reps make it look like we'll see Motomaker for Verizon sometime this fall.

I'm holding out til Motomaker comes online for VZW.

They get $600 plus Ca tax that's almost $660 for non-contract and right now I'm not too hot for a black or a white phone out of the store. Biggest thing is I want to keep my plan and not go to the shared data (that decision of keeping my plan will cost me $$). I figured if I did switch plans, the lowest plan was a 500mb data and unlimited talk/txt for $40+$40 line fee = $80 and they slap you with surcharges and taxes, gov surcharges and fees. I'm getting by now with $75 total using 4gb data, talk/txt from 2 years ago and not using even close to 1GB per month. Don't know if the Moto X uses a lot of stay connected apps while it's running. I'm sure you can turn off stuff that you don't see yourself using.
I do like the 30 day return policy for custom phone in Cal so that there could be my saving grace.

Will be chewing a lot of gum for a while... :-[

There is a good detailed one where the user compared it to a droid dna I believe..

Said battery life isn't all it is chopped up to be...  As well as the camera...

Thanks dBuster. :)

Not many reviews yet on the VZW site. He did mention that he's on the phone "constantly" so if that equates to say 3-5 hours a day, then I can see battery life going a tad south. Or maybe it's not that long, who knows.

The camera comment was good. I don't expect it to be anything but a quick shooter. Some steady shots you'll get will be really good and some quick shots might be a miss due to the focus that the camera does automatically. I think many people now know that different phones have somewhat respectable output and due to post-processing can come up with pleasing results. Motorola hasn't had a good camera in their phones but I believe they have a good start with the Moto X.
