While the Moto X will be available on all 4 major carriers; Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile and regional carrier US Celullar, it seems there's still some details to be worked out with T-Mobile about just when Motorola's new superphone will appear in their retail outlets. According to a press release
released simultaneously with the event yesterday it seems that while a version of the Moto X is fully compatible with the T-Mobile network, customers will have to purchase their phone through the Motorola website at first and not through stores. Now it's not entirely clear why this is so but there must be some wrangling going on behind the scenes that we're not privy to.
On a related note, Verizon tweeted out
yesterday that the black and white versions of the Moto X were 'coming soon' to their stores and that the custom designed options of 'Motomaker' would be coming 'later this year'. We're sure it didn't sit too well with the big red that AT&T nabbed an exclusive on the over 2000 custom color and design options for this first phase of Moto X sales but it's good to see that Verizon is excited and on top of things in promising customers that they'll have this capability soon...before the year is out.
