Updated to KitKat, now email question
« on: November 20, 2013, 05:27:09 PM »
My Moto X on Verizon, just updated to KitKat yesterday. I have a question about the stock email app. I have 2 POP accounts on the Moto x. When the emails pulled down in the past, to the MotoX, I have had it set to leave the emails on the server so I could then have them downloaded to my laptop when I fired it up. Once pulled to my laptop, the emails then were removed from my Moto X when it refreshed emails. This worked perfect for me.

Now the Moto X pulls emails, then I fire up the laptop and the emails are downloaded to it, no problem there. But the emails stay on the phone until I manually delete them, one at a time, from the phone.

How do I set this up so it works as I want it to??? :(

Way you described sounds to be like a IMAP setup at first.

It must be a sync issue, because after 4-5 hours the emails do drop off of my phone. Even when I manually refresh the email account, they don't drop off for 4-5 hours. I get 50 to 60 emails per day, so the phone email program gets pretty cluttered.
Prior to KitKat, emails that had pulled from the servers to Outlook on my laptop dropped off of my phone immediately.
Any ideas to speed this process up?
