Spurious Crashes!
« on: October 06, 2014, 04:30:27 PM »
OK, I've had my new MotoX for 3 days...about every 24 hours it reboots...I have not done anything to it.
My Build# is KXE21.187-43
Today it rebooted with only 5 hours of uptime.   This is not a good start.
Always had Moto phones...this is a first failure.
The only update that was downloaded during initial network sign on was some type of "System sensor Driver update"
Other than that, all my apps from the app store.  I will start by disabling all those apps...which are mostly Google apps...don't have but dozen of them.  Don't trust anyone else..
Any other crashing Moto X's out there?

Hello,
I wanted to report back about my crashing issue.  Up time 61:14:05 !!
I found the "Safe start" idea somewhere and tried it.  No crashes.  So I deleted everything that was not loaded on the phone....here I am still running.
The apps I had were for remote terminal service and VNC.  I didn't realize when you get a new phone, Google downloads everything you had on your old phone....I think they need to add a compatibility check to this process.
Anyway...phone is stable....AND...
I got my Moto360!  And it is a blast...but...the battery life is very poor...9 hours with 10 card swipes and 20 time checks...I have disabled everything ...I even leave it OFF while commuting to work (since this is a 100% to 97% drain).   But had to turn off at 4pm with only 18% battery life....
Anyway, aside from the new Verizon news about the new Droid S....I'm still happy with my MotoX it is a sweet device.
Cheers
