Moto X General Discussions / Re: How's your Battery Life ?

I would go to the App Store and download GSam battery monitor. Should give you a clue as to what's keeping you from getting the great battery life Moto X has to offer. Hope this helps  :)

Moto X General Discussions / Re: 10+ apps always running
« on: March 09, 2014, 11:13:25 AM »
This is what I've used to "stop" running apps that you might not need.

Select 'APPS' from the home screen.
Then from the APPS tab, select SETTINGS
From the DEVICE section, select APPS
Swipe left or right to the RUNNING tab and that will show you the APPS that are currently running.
Tap one that you would like to STOP running. (BE CAREFUL some like Google's Play Services apps may need to run!)
From the SERVICES section, select Stop.
From the 'Stop system service?' prompt, select OK.

That should STOP the app from running until you either restart your phone or start the app again. Hope this helps.
Note: I have VZW and the following is disabled on my Moto X : Google Play Books, Google Play Newsstand, NFL Mobile, Verizon Navigator, Caller Name ID. That's all and I get constant 2 days of battery life on 4.4.2 KitKat  :)

Member Reported News / $399 for a Moto X
« on: January 01, 2014, 12:23:27 PM »
Now you can pick up a non-contract Moto X for just $399. I paid $499 but still wouldn't budge off it...except to the Moto X2?
Really nice phone... ;)

Yea, only had mine for about 2 weeks now and the battery is really getting locked into my usage pattern. It does take a couple (at least 3 from what I've experienced) of charges. Getting 24h + as of this post.

I think I need help in posting a screenshot. <BFM>

Want to see if your Moto X can take you through the day or beyond...busy or not!

Well got my Moto X (Cement back / black front /black acc) and after seeing this trade-in program, for giggles went to see how much they would give me for the 'ole HTC Rez...$10 and it's in mint, better than new, condition. Seen some people on Swappa get $100 for one.

Ha...think I'll hang on to the old gal...and just LOVE this Moto X  ;)

My 2 ... this phone could be a real game changer for Motorola.
Time will tell...

Moto X Ordering and Shipping / Re: Ordering from Moto Maker
« on: November 19, 2013, 05:40:22 PM »
Picked out a Cement back / black front / black accents. It was tough between the Royal Blue and Cement or Chalk. Chalk was a little too white and many folks over on AC and other forums seemed to order Blue so went with Cement.

Got the non-contract phone during MotoMakers $50 off Verizon phones during the Nov 16th - 18th promo.

Now with Kitkat here for Verizon, this makes the wait for the X easy  ;)

Moto X Ordering and Shipping / Ordering from Moto Maker
« on: November 19, 2013, 09:22:29 AM »
Just finished ordering my Moto X for VZW on Moto Maker.

First order was cancelled because - I didn't think this was an issue - the billing address and shipping address were different. I can see why Motorola wants to keep some sneaky people who order a phone and have it shipped somewhere else on a bogus charge card, in my case I have a PO box as the shipping address and credit card was the billing address. <I'm not a sneaky person>

Second time ordering, I did almost the same thing! At least it showed up that way on the order page and that got cancelled.  I probably was a little bit frustrated and in a hurry as the Verizon $50 off was going to end soon so wanted to get that order in. My billing address was still different than the shipping address as I changed the ship to address to a physical address instead of my PO box.

So -third time's a charm- I decided to add a physical address to my credit card billing address as it only had a PO box for billings.
That worked! The order form showed BOTH shipping address and billing address to be the same (both real live addresses).

Ahhh...now the wait begins.  Hope this helps someone.

Yea, like Verizon...last to join the party.

As soon as VZW ramps up Moto Maker on Nov 11 ?? then I'm going in...especially if they tail ATT with the price drop.
Even if they don't, well that Nexus 5 by LG might be show'n its teeth by then.

Ah,  I'm stick'n with Red.

As it's now October 24 (and there was supposed to be a new 4.2 build... Ghost 13.15-something? released on October 22. I still don't have it), what's the news?

That sounds like you are looking for the ota.  If I am not mistaken there is another thread talking about the Verizon ota and how it is just now in testing.  Not officially out to everyone yet.

Sent from my XT901 using Tapatalk 4.1.4

The latest I read over at G+ is that Verizon pushed to 5,000 customers the 135.15.1 update for a "soak" period to evaluate the update on 10.22.13.  At 11:59pm on 10.24.13 Verizon will ramp the push campaign to capture the remainder of the base (customers) with Motorola MOTO X (XT1060) SU1  Version 135.15.1 .

I hope I don't eat crow...again  :-[

Moto X General Discussions / Re: Moto X - Strange problem with screen :(
« on: October 23, 2013, 06:58:57 PM »
Agree with dBuster. Matt, the forum manager might be able to help you.

Looks like either a bad 'magic glass' panel or some chemical was mistakenly wiped over it..

Was the screen covered by that plastic stuff when you opened the box?

Oh...I guess I'll chime in.

Been look'n at the DE for the last few weeks and there's been no "out of stock" notice.

Hmmm...just think white will pick up a lot of finger dirt.

Anyone else waiting for Big Red?  It will be a real fiasco with Xmas coming a month after they open the site...if the 11th is official.

 :)

<coming down off the fence>

Not in my neck of the woods.
The price though sounds real SWEET.
